If your home poses a threat to you and your family but you can’t afford the repair costs, you may be eligible for assistance through our Home Rehabilitation program.
Our Home Rehabilitation program is designed to bring homes up to local and state code and ensure the health and safety of you and your family. Unlike our Home Repair Program, the Home Rehabilitation Program is meant for homeowners with more extensive needs.
Rehabilitations that may occur through this program include:
- Correction of structural issues such as foundations
- Replacement of heating, furnaces and/or water heaters
- Electrical upgrades
- Replacement of plumbing hazards
- Lead based paint reductions
- Accessibility improvements of the household
- Restoration of water and sewer safety
This program is made possible through The Community Housing Impact and Preservation Program (CHIP). CHIP is a federal grant that provides money to income eligible households to address home repair and housing rehabilitation.
Eligibility
Eligibility for our Home Rehabilitation program is based on household income. However, income guidelines are different depending on the specific rehabilitation project your home may need.
