Athens Public Transit
Getting around without a car can be challenging. Athens Public Transit (APT) provides a fixed-route public bus system for Athens County. Our buses run through Athens, Albany, Nelsonville, Chauncey, and The Plains. The service, led by skilled and dedicated drivers, provides reliable transportation.
On Demand Transportation
HAPCAP offers on-demand transit services in Athens and Hocking Counties. Riders can call to schedule a pick-up or drop-off for just $2 for each one-way trip. Each van or bus is ADA-accessible and driven by friendly, trained staff. From medical appointments to errands, family visits, or just for leisure, we connect Athens and Hocking County residents to the community. We aim to improve the quality of life through mobility.
GoBus
GoBus helps connect rural towns and cities in Ohio and beyond! We provide a bus service that connects passengers with regional and national bus services and local transportation. GoBus is open to all and travels between Athens, Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Wooster, Van Wert, and other towns along the routes.
Mobility Management
We work to promote quality of life through mobility. Residents in rural counties like Hocking and Athens face special challenges getting where they need to go. HAPCAP's mobility management program collaborates with local transportation providers and communities to overcome those challenges.
