Free face coverings and gun locks available at all three service centers
GLOUSTER, OH – Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is providing free face masks and gun locks to residents of Hocking, Athens, and Perry Counties.
The masks are available in packs of five. They are Hanes brand, all white, cotton, washable, and reusable. The masks were donated by FEMA through the Ohio Department of Health, and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis until supplies run out.
The gun locks are distributed as an initiative of Suicide Awareness Month which takes place throughout the month of September. The program is made possible thanks to a partnership with the Chillicothe VA Medical Center.
Residents do not need to provide documentation to receive these items. The masks and the locks are available to be picked up Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Questions about these items can be directed to our main office, (740) 767-4500.
